Caroline Volpe
Caroline is a seasoned US-based market research consultant with expertise in designing and executing primary qualitative and quantitative market research globally to meet clients’ strategic and tactical business needs.
While she has focused on working with clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries conducting research for pipeline and in-line products, she also has done research on behalf of over-the-counter healthcare and skincare products, vitamins, wellness organizations and non-profit organizations.
Her quantitative research experiences have focused primarily on designing and executing market assessment studies, product assessments as well as demand/forecasting studies. She has also executed quantitative segmentation research as well as quantitative research to understand perceptions of branding and communication materials.
Caroline is an experienced moderator and has moderated thousands of individual interviews, triads and focus groups. While these interviews have primarily been in the US, she also has moderated interviews and focus groups in Canada and the UK. She is adept at interviewing a broad range of respondent types within the healthcare industry, including industry executives, sales representatives, key opinion leaders, clinical investigators, physicians, allied health professionals (e.g., nurses, nutritionists, dieticians), pharmacists and patient/consumers/caregivers.
Her therapeutic areas of interest and expertise include cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, immunology, medical/surgical devices, nephrology, nutritional supplements, oncology, ophthalmology, pulmonology, rare diseases, women’s health and wound care. However, after over 20 years in the industry she is adept at learning new categories quickly.
Caroline received her Master of Science in Marketing from Drexel University and holds a BS in Marketing and International Business from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Caroline maintains both her BHBIA Legal and Ethical Guidelines Training Certificate as well as the BHBIA Adverse Event Report in Market Research Certificate.
